Restoring Confidence in Connecticut

RESTORING CONFIDENCE IS CRITICAL
TO CONNECTICUT'S ECONOMIC FUTURE

The lack of confidence impacts every aspect of our economy

  • EMPLOYMENT AND JOB CREATION
Confidence is critical to an employer’s decision-making.  It starts with predictability in future tax policy.  Companies desperately need predictability and visibility to invest and grow their businesses.  Connecticut needs to create an environment that fosters private sector job growth.

  • CITY BUDGETS
A volatile budget season filled with threats to municipal funding levels limits cities and towns from making critical operational decisions.

  • TAXES
The State has an expense problem, not a revenue problem.  In 1991, the State’s first “temporary” income tax was implemented, but government spending grew 71 percent faster than inflation between 1991 and 2014.  Dramatically reducing expenses will allow us to stabilize and reduce taxes; while at the same time allow us to invest wisely in education and infrastructure.

RESTORING CONFIDENCE TO THE RESIDENTS AND BUSINESSES OF CONNECTICUT
WILL RESULT IN JOB GROWTH, TAX CUTS AND MUCH NEEDED INVESTMENTS IN INFRASTRUCTURE AND EDUCATION.
